Air conditioner help: York versus Trane?

I want to install Air Conditioning in my home and have received estimates for both York and Trane systems. The house is a ~2000 sq ft, two story, near the coast in So. Cal. The a/c would likely only be used for a few weeks during the warmest/most humid time of the year (temps in 80s plus moderate humidity). The options are a 15 seer York versus a 13 seer Trane. They are comparably priced. I understand the 15 seer York would be more efficient, but have heard that Trane is more reliable. Any thoughts/advice you can share would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
