  2. damaging your fixed …
damaging your fixed orifice tubes, txv, or hvalve, also peices may just get hung up anywhere in the condensor wich results in a restriction wich will lower pressure where it cant be lowerd. anybody wants to add things please do . im not writing everything you have to check or do because im a technician, people like this guy who knows nothing about diagnosing and repairing brings us there that they just ed up. makes of tons of money. oh and im only 20. so stick that in your

of water so it boils at room temperature. then you can do ither 2 things right here. you may recharge on the low side car running , or high side with the car not running. those are very importent. most ipmortantly dont forget about refilling it with oil. only put as much oil that it came out with. if your vehicle is old like his, i recomend replacing the reciever, accumulator dryier. due to the age of the vehicle, the descicant bank prolly is or has came apart which results in damaing your

  4. you guys on here . …
you guys on here . please just stop. i bet half of you are not even 609 certified, but i am . one its not coolent or freon. its refridgerent. freon is a trademark name that is owned by dupon. step 2 your blower has nothing to do with your a/c charging steps. it doesnt matter. if your recovering and just recharging , well your an idiot. first when you recover you must know how much oil came out the system, let it be 2 ounces or 6 ounces. then you must vacuum the lines to lower boiling point

  5. I agree with you on …
I agree with you on that. I learned something new when I replaced the compressor of a refrigerator. I put a whole can of 134 in there. It did not get very cold. I thought it needed a bit more. To my surprise it only needed about half a can. Light bulb lit up in my head, aahhh…just the right amount is always the best, even a little low is not as bad as too much.

  6. it is better to …
it is better to remove all the refrigerant…
and evacute, and recharge with the proper amount…..(if R-12 you use mineal oil, R-134a uses PAG or POE oil)

  7. No you are wrong …
No you are wrong and right.
Freon, was the Du pont brand name for the R-12 refrigerant.
Only Du Pont can liceace the tradename..

  8. R-12 (AKA Freon, is …
R-12 (AKA Freon, is olny sold to people with EPA ceft. 609 I tink….

  9. Also I would like …
Also I would like to remind them that as the car cools down inside, the pressure gauge becomes lower. Overcharging an ac will only put load on the engine, and you end up with an ac that is not very efficient. It is better to be slightly less than a little too much freon.

  10. I picked up a full …
I picked up a full 30LB tank of R12 at the Portlant auto swap meet for $45. SCORE! And I also bought a full tank of 134A for $35

  11. That is a question …
That is a question you’d done better to post on a how to forum. But you must be talking about R-12 coolant, For your ac. R-12 is significantly harder to find because it damages ozone and you need a license to posess that stuff. If you have an older car like pre 1989 then the ac may use r-12 The newer cars use a coolant called 134 a or something to that nature and you can find that stuff anywhere that sells auto equipment. As far as using 134a in place of r 12 i ono…ask a mechanic

  12. theres no collant …
theres no collant in the AC system its Freon

  13. everyone tells me …
everyone tells me it’s illegal in canada though

  14. No you can find …
No you can find Freon at WalMart or Autozone or anywhere automotive parts are sold…

  15. isn’t freon illegal …
isn’t freon illegal now? people have been telling me that i need a whole new system because freon can’t be bought any more
