Trying to figure out the correct way to fully wire a Hunter Model 44155C. Originally had a Trane thermostat (not sure of model or number).
I’m confused. Is it necessary to connect some wires or all wires to the thermostat. Like if I have both “G” and “F” do I connect just “G” or would I connect both.
Also it already has a small wire connecting RH to RC.
So I don’t need to connect the “R” (red) wire?
“If your thermostat has one wire marked R or RH, then leave the jumper wire between RH and RC on the wallplate.” Otherwise seperate RH and RC wires (5 wire system).
Trane wiring (Color Coded):
X2 = Black
O= Orange
G = Green
Y = Yellow
T = Greyish/Black
W = White
R = Red
B = Blue
U - Not used
F - Not used
————————————–…
Hunter Wiring (according to manual):
RH, R, 24 Volt
RC, VC 24 Volt Cool
G or F Fan
————————————–…
Y,C, or M Air Conditioning compressor
or
O Reversing Valve operating in Cool Mode
————————————–…
W or H Heating
Or
R Reversing Valve operating in Heat Mode
————————————–…
Y1 Heat Pump Compressor
Thanks for the help. May post more info.
Trane uses W for your auxilliary heat ,x2 for emergency heat,B for neutral,R for hot,G for fan,F is just a malfunction light and might not be used on your new stat,Y for the compressor, and O for the reversing valve, energized in the cool mode,T I’m not sure but probably not used like F.Make certain you bought the correct stat.Good luck

I have a 2002 Toyota Corolla and when I run my Air Conditioning after it's been a while since I've used it, the air coming out of the vents is really stinky. I understand that it's because the resvoir for the coolant collects moisture and that gets moldy but I don't really know how to get rid of it. I've heard that you're supposed to run the fan with out the air conditioner on for a while to clear out the moisture but I never remember to do that. Has anyone found another way to remedy this problem? I swear the mold is giving me sinus infections!
there are two reasons your air would stink …one is that the drain hose is clogged and molded on the inside…but the most likely cause is that your cabin air filter needs changed..as far as your reservoir idea i dont think that has any truth to it at all….the hose thing i should elaborate on if this hose gets clogged then the moisture coming from the ac system backs up in the hose and then eventually backs up far enough that you can smell the mold…it will cause irritation to the sinuse and lungs as any mold will you can go to autozone .com and look under repair info for your car and you will have to do a little digging but you will find where the hose is so you can get it cleaned or if you would rather you can do a google image search for the ac drain hose for that make and model so you know where to start looking good luck

This thought came to me from another question I read earlier. Are Military Wives, or Spouses, which ever the sex, appriciated enough? I mean, does the military take care of them at home so the Soldier, Sailor, Airman or Marine wouldnt have to worry? I dont think so.
Im a retired U S Air Force Member, retired in 2005. I was married for my whole time in the service. I went on numerous deployments of different lengths and different conditions. Even, quick combat deployments fully combated out, not knowing of duration or destiny.
My wife remained behind and took care of both Home and Family. Eventhough I like to think I worked for my family, she's the one that kept it together for this many years. And all with very minimal interaction or help from the base or even my unit.
So, my question is….. DO YOU THINK THE MILITARY COMMUNITY APPRICIATES THE MILITARY SPOUSES ENOUGH? Give me your feelings and any stories.
Be good and I SALUTE EACH OF YOU!!!
AF Wife >> Spoken like a true soldier with humility. your answe is the reality of why the military community needs to take care of our spouses. Not because they want it or need it, but BECAUSE THEY DESERVE IT!! Thanks
Justakiss62>>YOu have served in both rolls. I SALUTE YOU!!!
i'm an active duty air force wife, i don't really expect the military community to take care of me, i think i'm responsible for myself, i decided to stay with my husband when he decided to enlist, it was a personal choice to have to deal with deployments, to live far away from my family, their are spouse organizations pretty much on every base that get together but i really don't participate, i think the military community just gets so used to everybody's spouses being gone, we are all dealing with the same thing here, i do get mad at women outside the military life that say "i don't know how you could do that, i could never be with somebody in the military" if they really love their husbands, yes they would, or its just simply that i'm a better woman then they are

I live in Vegas where it gets pretty hot. So I was thinking of getting solar screens on the windows . They say it cuts down on utility bills ( Air Conditioning) and even heating bills in the winter. The thing is the sun is a scorcher here. Any input ? Plus they seem costly.
It's more usual to install them on the roof… you can see some off to one side as you go north of I-215 between Tropicana and Summerlin Parkway (preferably while you're not driving!)
My lawyer friend actually uses photovoltaic (solar) cells on his roof to heat his swimming pool (which also uses sea salt instead of chlorine - and it's awesome). They cost around $20,000 for the pair (including all installation) and they work really well. Apart from the price the other downside is that they will start to produce less power after about 10 years though your mileage may vary. He was quoted something like a 10% power loss after 10 years.
I suggest that you get some quotes that include installation and see where you get to.
Good luck!

The central Air Conditioning in my apartment is getting repaired and won't be working for 4 or 5 days.
I want to improvise something. Maybe taking a fan and pointing it a a bag of ice. Heck.. I don't know… Any tips ?
use the principle of evaporation. Depending on the humidity, it can work wonders. Lightly soak and wring out a sheet before bed, and have a fan blow across you. You will be comfortable enough to get to sleep. Some people get a large amount of ice, put it in a shallow pan, and have a fan blow over it. Another is to fill an ice chest with 70% ice and 30% water, take a hand towels, soak and wring out, then place over head and breathe the cold air. Do it once more but this time leave on your wrists for a couple of minutes. As for a whole house fix, there is no other DIY method I know of. The ice cold towel on the head is really amazing relief even though temporary.

A young man was lost wandering in a forest, when he came upon a small house. He knocked on the door and was greeted by a very old Chinese man with a long, grey beard.
"I'm lost," said the man. "Can you put me up for the night?"
"Certainly," the Chinese man said, "but on one condition. If you so much as lay a finger on my daughter, I will inflict upon you the three worst Chinese tortures known to man."
"Ok," said the man, thinking that the daughter must be pretty old given her father's age, and entered the house. Before dinner, the daughter came down the stairs. She was young, beautiful, and had a fantastic figure. She was obviously attracted to the young man since she couldn't keep her eyes off him during the meal.
Remembering the old man's warning, he ignored her and went up to bed alone. But during he night, he could bear it no longer, and sneaked into her room for a night of passion. He was careful to keep everything quiet so the old man wouldn't hear. Near dawn he crept back to his room, exhausted, but happy.
He woke to feel a pressure on his chest. Opening his eyes he saw a large rock on his chest with a note on it that read, "Chinese Torture 1: Large rock on chest."
"Well, that's pretty pathetic," he thought. "If that's the best the old man can do then I don't have much to worry about." He picked the large rock, walked over to the window and threw it out. As he did so he noticed another note on it that read: "Chinese Torture 2: Rock tied to left testicle." In a panic he glanced down and saw the rope was already getting close to the end. Figuring that a few broken bones was better than castration, he jumped out of the window after the boulder. As he plummeted downward he saw a large sign on the ground that read, "Chinese Torture 3: Right testicle tied to bedpost."
Ron was in big trouble with his wife. He forgot his wedding anniversary. Naturally his wife was livid. She told him, "Tomorrow morning I expect to find a gift in the driveway that goes from 0 to 200 in less then 6 seconds!! AND IT BETTER BE THERE!!"
The next morning Ron got up early and left for work. When his wife woke up she looked out the window and sure enough there was a box gift-wrapped in the middle of the driveway.
Confused, the wife put on her robe and ran out to the driveway, and brought the box back in the house. She opened it and found a brand new bathroom scale.
Ron has been missing since Friday.
The Pentagon recently found it had too many generals and offered an early retirement bonus. They promised any general who retired straight away his full annual benefits plus $10,000 for every inch measured in a straight line between any two parts of the general's body, with the general getting to select any pair of points he wished.
The first man, an Air Force general, accepted. He asked the pension man to measure from the top of his head to the tip of his toes. Six feet. He walked out with a check of $720,000.
The second man, an Army general, asked them to measure from the tip of his outstretched hands to his toes. Eight feet. He walked out with a check for $960,000.
When the third general, a grizzled old Marine, was asked where to measure, he told the pension man … "From the tip of my penis to the bottom of my testicles."
The pension man suggested that perhaps the Marine general might like to reconsider, pointing out the nice checks the previous two generals had received. The Marine insisted and the pension expert said that would be fine, but that he'd better get the medical officer to do the measuring.
The medical officer attended and asked the general to drop the pants. He did. The medical officer placed the tape on the tip of the general's penis and began to work back. "My God!" he said. "Where are your testicles?"
The general replied, "In Vietnam."

My car's Air Conditioning is not cooling sufficently. Outside temp is about 70. The low side pressure reads in the blue area of the guage on the can of freon that I am using (from Wal Mart). The accumulator does not form much condensation, but it does feel somewhat cold. (95 Pontiac Bonneville)
Not sure what your question is. The days of you performing your own ac work died out with the model T Ford. Your question is way too vague. What are the readings high and low side? How many ounces do you have in the system and what is the spec? With your little info, It could be moisture in the system, a leak, bad compressor, bad dryer, bad orfice tube, bad or missing ac belt, bad evaporator, wrong amount of oil, wrong amount of freon, bad fuse, an electrical issue, a switch issue, restriction in the system, that outta narrow it down for you. For 20 dollars at any shop you can have a professional check it out
thanks for the thumbs down
